Job summary

A maintenance services company in the United States is looking for a dedicated individual to carry out various maintenance tasks at their resort. Description
JOB DUTIES
  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs to resort accommodations, facilities, and streets as needed.
  • Complete checklists of physical condition of resort accommodations prior to and after guest occupancy.
  • Ensure resort is presentable and always inviting, and that it adheres to resort curb appeal standards.
  • Ensure trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets daily. Empty common area trash containers as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized maintenance workshop and storerooms.
  • Inspect playground area and equipment, pool/spa area, and other recreational amenities to ensure everything is in good condition, making minor repairs as needed.
  • Ensure all resort streets and public access routes are free of hazards.
  • Maintain resort pool(s), test chemical levels, and adjust appropriately, where applicable.
  • Maintain resort vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles when moving from site to site and picking up supplies.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • As an Engineer, you must be hard‑working, reliable and focused on providing exceptional customer service. You must also be highly organized and detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects without any assistance.
  • Availability for flexible shift schedules, including but not limited to second shifts (2PM-10:30PM), weekends and holidays.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Skilled in several areas such as pools, HVAC, electrical, IT, carpentry, dry walling, painting, and plumbing. Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work.
  • Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort is helpful.
  • Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require frequent outdoor work.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing and grounds maintenance.
  • Ability to provide legible written reports.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet.
  • Availability to respond to resort needs during non‑business hours while on‑call.
  • Heavy equipment experience preferred.
