Job summary

Capital One is seeking a senior technology leader to articulate a bold vision across domain engineering and drive practical, scalable solutions.

You will decompose complex problems, ensure high-quality designs, and serve as a trusted expert on performance and non-functional characteristics while mentoring engineers and participating in knowledge sharing across the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.
At least 7 years of experience in general software engineering and solution architecture.
At least 5 years of proven experience shipping large-scale platforms in the cloud.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with LLM systems, including RAG/embeddings, prompt/plan tooling, and model governance.
10+ years of professional coding experience in Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Swift.
8+ years of professional experience across the full SDLC — conception to production support.
3+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies.
8+ years of experience with networking (BGP, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, cloud/networks).
Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
