Job summary

Capital One seeks a senior engineering leader to guide a portfolio of technology projects and mentor a team of developers in a fast-paced, compliant environment.

You will build distributed microservices and full-stack systems, working with Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, Scala, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions empowering customers while staying current with trends and participating in engineering communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 9+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks preferred.
• 1+ years of people management experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices preferred.
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion preferred.
