Job summary

Holt CAT, the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States, has a full-time 1st shift Engine Shop Service Technician position in Irving, TX. You will perform teardown, inspection, and repairs of diesel and natural gas engines in a shop setting, maintaining quality and safety as a team member.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, tool proficiency, and the ability to manage parts, estimates, and workflow to meet customer needs with timely service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diesel schooling preferred.
• Two+ years of related work experience in engine repair or service is expected.
• Knowledge of industrial natural gas or diesel engines, and related tools, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble diesel/natural gas engines per manufacturer specs.
• Perform teardown, inspection, and repairs in a shop setting.
• Order parts, estimate costs, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow safety policies.
