Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking an Onsite role in Byesville, OH to visually inspect engine blocks and verify repairs through the remanufacturing process. You will remove caps, tap bolt holes, use a wash tank and inspection camera, and complete documentation.

We offer competitive hourly pay with potential quarterly gainsharing, plus a comprehensive benefits package. This position requires physical dexterity and the ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation and grasping with power & hand tools
• Stand on concrete for entire shift with lifting up to 50 pounds
• Maintain a clean work area and meet quality standards
• Cross-train on other jobs as required

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect engine blocks to verify repairs per remanufacturing process
• Remove caps and tap head bolt holes; use wash tank and inspection camera
• Complete documentation and read Work Station Instructions
• Operate hoist, air tools, torque wrenches, gauges and related equipment
• Identify component parts by ID numbers and follow rotation plan
• Participate in safety, quality and productivity improvements
