Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Byesville, OH is seeking an inspector to visually inspect engine blocks to verify repairs following the remanufacturing process. You will remove caps, tap bolt holes, operate wash tanks, inspection camera, and complete documentation.

This onsite role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, reading Work Station Instructions, adhering to safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to read and follow Work Station Instructions
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect engine blocks to verify repairs
• Remove caps and tap head bolt holes
• Operate wash tank, inspection camera, hoist and hand tools
• Clean and inspect engine blocks
• Complete documentation and follow standardized work procedures
• Participate in safety, quality, attendance and productivity improvements
