Job summary

Old Colony YMCA in Middleborough, MA is seeking a Group Leader to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for school-age children. You will lead activities, support homework, and supervise field trips at Camp Yomechas, earning $16.00–$18.40 per hour.

You will collaborate with the Site Coordinator and staff to plan age-appropriate programming, maintain a clean space, and participate in trainings to promote child safety and positive behavior.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for children.
• Lead activities including games, arts & crafts, STEM, sports, and outdoor play.
• Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate programming.
• Supervise children during daily activities, field trips, and special events.
• Encourage positive behavior and model the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
• Maintain a clean, organized program space.
• Complete attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Work collaboratively with the Site Coordinator and fellow staff members.
• Attend staff meetings and required professional development trainings.
