Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for the Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School for the 2026–2027 year. The role runs Monday to Friday, matching the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon shifts.

Starting pay ranges from $13.50 to $14.50 per hour for part-time, non-exempt work. Employer-paid childcare is a featured benefit, along with telehealth, AFLAC, a 401(k), paid sick time, on-demand pay, and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13
• Must pass a full background check (fingerprinting and references)
• Must be medically fit to perform duties (including clear TB)
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities) and homework completion
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and be a positive role model
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing
