Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon shifts (7:00–9:30 a.m. and 3:30–6:00 p.m.). You’ll help children learn through play, provide a safe environment, and work closely with families and teammates. Employer-paid childcare is a featured benefit.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
