Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College-Anderson seeks part-time non-credit instructors to deliver diverse contract and open enrollment trainings at Amplify in Hancock County. Courses may be in person, live online, or at client sites, with sessions offered mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays or weekends.

Instructors create engaging content, provide teaching materials, and support workforce and community education initiatives in the region.

Qualifications

• Prior teaching and facilitation experience preferred but not required.
• Subject matter expertise.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities to teach assigned non-credit course effectively.
• Knowledge of the subject area demonstrated through education and/or professional experience.
• Ability to promote the Ivy Tech mission and work in a diverse team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver non-credit, skills-based classes as assigned.
• Provide a learning environment that supports student success.
• Collaborate with the Ivy+ Career Link Employer Consultant to plan dates, content, pricing, and scheduling.
• Teach and train classes in workplace and campus locations within programming designed to meet learning objectives.
• Maintain records on student attendance, grades, and other information.
• Develop materials for effective delivery of curriculum.
• Notify Executive Director of any absence and arrange substitutes or rescheduling.
