Joyce Middle School in Woburn, MA seeks a Middle School Math Teacher to fill a long-term substitute role for the 2026–2027 school year, starting November 30, 2026. The position will convert to a permanent role for 2027–2028.

Substitute pay begins at $125/day for 20 days, then $346.55/day (Bachelor) or $372.42/day (Master) for the remainder. The teacher reports to the Principal, collaborates with district staff, and maintains a safe, equitable learning environment with high expectations for all

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree or higher; master's preferred.
• Massachusetts DESE Certification in Secondary Mathematics.
• Experience with diverse student backgrounds and socio-economic groups.
• Training in social-emotional learning and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom that supports students’ authentic selves.
• Deliver district-math curriculum aligned with MA DESE Frameworks to all students.
• Administer district assessments and use data to guide instruction.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and instructional technology integration.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and district staff to share best practices.
