Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) seeks a qualified educator to plan and deliver instruction aligned with the AKS curriculum. You will create a learning environment that supports intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development for students.

Qualifications

• Meets Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
• Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of education from a PSC approved college or university.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan for appropriate learning experiences based on the district AKS curriculum and provide an atmosphere conducive to student development.
• Demonstrate command of the subject being taught.
• Develop and prioritize short and long-term instructional objectives based on district AKS.
• Plan instruction to promote mastery of prerequisite skills and knowledge.
• Analyze student work and assessments to determine instructional needs.
• Prepare written lesson plans to support instructional objectives of the AKS for all students.
• Plan appropriate assessment of student learning.
