Qualifications

• Meets Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education
• Bachelor’s Degree from PSC-approved college or university
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of GCPS AKS curriculum and content
• Ability to integrate curriculum and GCPS policies into instruction
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Effective human relations skills

Responsibilities

• Plan learning experiences based on the district AKS curriculum and create an environment conducive to student development
• Demonstrate command of the subject being taught
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives aligned with AKS
• Plan assessments of student learning and provide feedback
• Select resources that match learner needs and reflect research-based practices
• Utilize technology to plan, teach, and assess student learning
• Provide formative and summative assessments and communicate results to students and parents
• Maintain an organized classroom and manage transitions effectively
• Participate in professional growth and collaboration with staff and families
