Job summary

Western Governors University seeks a Multimedia Content Designer II to craft engaging media for online and mobile delivery. You’ll work within an agile design team to design digital content that fits purpose, iterates quickly, and produces production-ready media for eLearning courses and modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience.
• Portfolio or work samples required to demonstrate multimedia content design proficiency.
• Expert in design, layout, and visual communication with attention to detail.
• Experience in multimedia design for web, mobile and/or eLearning including still graphics, animation, audio and video.
• Understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 across browsers and screen resolutions.
• Expert-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and video/audio editing tools.
• Strong written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Conceptual knowledge of web/software development.

Responsibilities

• Participates in cross-functional, agile design team to develop engaging, effective learning experiences.
• Creates media in all forms; polished visuals, audio, and animations that meet project objectives.
• Ensures media aligns with product goals and requirements and explains how they meet objectives.
• Rapidly produce multiple approaches for usability testing and stakeholder presentations.
• Collaborates with front-end developers to ensure technical feasibility and optimize media for web/mobile.
