Job summary

Aperion Care in Illinois is seeking an Activities Assistant/Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating activity programs for residents, in line with their assessments and care plans, and as directed by supervisors. Must be 18 years old to be considered for the position.

Qualifications

• Must read/write/speak English.
• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.
• Patient and enthusiastic with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating activity programs.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior and involvement to evaluate progress.
• Prepare activity rooms and arrange equipment and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and follow guidelines.
• Support residents with crafts, letters, errands and social interactions.
