Job summary

Aperion Care Wilmington is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the planning and execution of resident activity programs. You will observe and document resident responses, maintain a warm environment, and collaborate with other departments to ensure uninterrupted activities.

Daily duties include preparing activity spaces, procuring supplies, and assisting residents with crafts and visits. English proficiency and a caring disposition are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement & evaluate activity programs for residents.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement; document progress.
• Maintain warm atmosphere and coordination with other departments.
• Prepare activity rooms and arrange equipment for programs.
• Follow care plans to provide daily activities for residents.
• Purchase supplies for residents and activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and privacy guidelines.
• Oversee residents during activities to promote well-being.
• Assist in-room residents with visits, crafts, and errands as needed.
