Zusammenfassung

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Programming/Activity Assistant to organize and implement programs that meet the holistic needs of residents. The role supports the Activity Director and aims to promote self-esteem in a caring, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities include leading diverse activities, encouraging participation, and coordinating with the care team. This position emphasizes empathy, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.

Qualifikationen

• Must have high school diploma or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues.
• Possesses training and knowledge in recreational activities.
• Possesses training and knowledge of Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community.
• Demonstrates ability to coordinate multiple tasks under pressure.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement a seven day a week activity program that is engaging.
• Lead and implement one-on-one, small group and large group activities.
• Support independent activity pursuits for residents.
• Promote residents’ abilities and engagement through programming.
• Keep residents informed of changes in condition or behavior to the Harbor Care Director.
• Stay with group during excursions.
