Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Programming/Activity Assistant to design and implement activities that meet the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical needs of residents. This role supports the Activity Director and helps foster a nurturing environment where residents feel valued.

Responsibilities include leading activities, guiding individuals and groups, and ensuring safety during excursions while adapting to each resident’s abilities and interests.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of recreational activities and how to implement them for elders.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work well under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement an engaging seven-day-a-week activity program.
• Lead one-on-one, small group and large group activities per schedule.
• Encourage and direct independent activity pursuits for residents.
• Understand residents’ backgrounds, abilities, interests, and cognitive needs to tailor activities.
• Motivate residents to participate in programming and attend events.
• Communicate changes in residents’ condition to the Harbor Care Director.
• Stay with group during excursions.
