Job summary

Complete Care in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a dedicated Activities Aide to create engaging programs for older adults. This part-time role requires every other weekend work and a passion for crafting meaningful, fun experiences for residents.

You will implement activities, monitor behavior, maintain calendars, help with decorations, and coordinate with the Activities Director to develop new ideas while assisting with mobility and setup as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Energetic, fun-loving personality and ability to stay active with residents.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Implement scheduled activities and assist residents to ensure programs are accessible, safe, and enjoyable.
• Monitor resident behavior during events and report observations to nursing staff.
• Maintain attendance calendars and documentation for care planning and regulatory needs.
• Assist in preparing and displaying holiday decorations throughout the facility.
• Engage residents in group and one-on-one activities to encourage social interaction and physical movement.
• Coordinate with the Activities Director to plan new activities based on resident interests.
• Set up and break down activity areas and store supplies after programs.
• Assist residents with mobility and transportation to activities, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, organized activities space and communicate supply needs to the Director of Activities.
