Job summary

Worcester Public Schools is seeking a Focused Instructional Coach for Student Supports and Engagement. The role focuses on improving school climate, belonging, and safe learning environments across elementary and secondary schools.

Responsibilities include analyzing student data to guide targeted interventions, delivering on-site professional development, and collaborating with SPED and Culture & Climate teams to implement evidence-based frameworks with fidelity.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in school adjustment counseling or psychology with school-aged students.
• Licensed as a School Adjustment Counselor or Psychologist by DESE.
• Masters degree in a counseling field.
• Experience with students with disabilities and multi-language students.

Responsibilities

• Implements WPS philosophy, goals, and policies.
• Facilitates a learning community focused on safety, inclusivity, and high expectations.
• Provides evidence-based strategies to strengthen social-emotional competencies and belonging.
• Gives constructive feedback to engage students and foster a safe, welcoming environment.
• Collaborates with teachers to collect and analyze student data to guide interventions.
