Genesis in West Reading is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of our patients and residents by planning and delivering engaging activities that meet their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs. You will collaborate with care teams to support wellness and quality of life in our long-term care setting.

Ideal candidates communicate effectively, stay organized, and interact positively with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to document patient activities and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities meeting patients' physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs.
• Provide input into monthly recreation therapy service design.
• Document attendance and participation in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
