Ryan Specialty in Houston is seeking an Associate Energy Underwriter to support underwriting of upstream Oil & Gas accounts. You will gather and analyze underwriting information, evaluate risk exposures, and help prepare policy transactions while ensuring documentation aligns with company guidelines.

The role suits an early-career professional with analytical skills and a willingness to learn about the Energy sector.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
• Six months or more of Property & Casualty or commercial insurance experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable Property & Casualty licenses.
• Progress toward or interest in pursuing professional designations such as AINS, AU, ARM, or CPCU is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support the underwriting of new and renewal upstream Oil & Gas accounts by reviewing and maintaining policy information.
• Respond to broker and client inquiries regarding Energy insurance products, underwriting appetite, coverage considerations, and policy information.
• Communicate with brokers, agents, and insureds to gather underwriting information and help facilitate underwriting processes.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain underwriting documentation including submissions, quotes, binders, endorsements, and policy issuance materials.
• Review applications and supporting docs to identify risk exposures and assist in evaluating coverage eligibility.
• Assist with premium and rating calculations by applying underwriting guidelines and pricing methodologies.
