Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking an Applications Management Advisor to support and enhance the front-to-back Energy Trading and Risk Management environment. You will balance hands-on development with production support, building data pipelines, reports, and integrations while resolving data discrepancies.

You’ll work with analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate evolving needs into sustainable solutions, with hybrid work in Houston three days a week and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, MIS, or related field, or an equivalent combination.
• Minimum 7 years relevant work experience.
• Expert-level SQL Server experience, including design, query optimization, and SSIS.
• Experience with SSRS or similar enterprise reporting.
• Python for data engineering with Pandas/NumPy.
• Design and support data pipelines across multiple systems.
• Experience in energy/commodity trading or ETRM environment.
• Strong communication of technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Hybrid Houston office three days, two days remote; occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL processes and SSIS packages.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Integrate data from SQL Server, Oracle, CSV, APIs; handle auth.
• Implement data quality controls, logging, auditing, and error handling.
• Support ETRM platform workflows: trade, risk, P&L, settlements.
• Create reports, dashboards, and data dictionaries; document mappings.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate needs.
