Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Business Performance Advisor in Houston to shape performance indicators, automate reporting, and advise leadership on financial decisions. You will collaborate across departments to improve forecasting accuracy and earnings predictability, with a strong emphasis on data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.

You will work in a hybrid setup in Houston, report to the Director of Business Performance, and contribute to a high-impact, cross-functional team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of progressive hands-on experience in financial modeling, forecasting, reporting, and data-driven analysis.
• Ability to translate complex data into insights and actionable recommendations.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines with quality results.
• 7+ years of relevant experience managing complex data and deriving insights.
• Knowledge of retail electricity markets, ISO market structures, pricing, forecasting, portfolio management preferred.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and SQL; familiarity with Python.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key link between Portfolio Management, Settlements, Accounting and FP&A to align teams and provide a consolidated view of performance.
• Analyze monthly close data, explain results, reduce margin variance, and minimize prior period adjustments.
• Develop budgeting, forecasting, and reporting models for key metrics to explain variances and improve earnings predictability.
• Contribute to assessment of operational and performance indicators and controls to enhance performance framework.
• Transform diverse data into actionable insights and reporting for multiple audiences.
• Create and maintain management-ready presentations for Group, GBU, and leadership teams.
• Review settlements and market data to reduce forecast variance in costs of goods sold.
• Collaborate across Sales, Forecasting, Pricing, Portfolio Management, Operations, Billing, Settlements, Accounting, and Finance.
