Job summary

CLEAResult Consulting Inc. seeks an on-site residential energy educator for the Metro Detroit area. You will install basic energy-efficiency equipment, inspect homes for insulation and HVAC upgrades, and advise customers on saving energy and money.

The role features a four-day work week (10-hour days) with a company van and a 21+ driving requirement. This is not a sales position – customers schedule appointments via a support team, and you educate a diverse customer base on Energy Waste

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• BPI Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate power utility customers on Energy Waste Reduction.
• Install basic energy-efficient equipment and inspect homes for insulation, air sealing, HVAC equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and training on installations and configurations per client specs.

Job Description

Please Note: Position is available in the greater Metro Detroit area. Candidates must live in or within a reasonable commuting distance from their territory.

The employee will have a four-day work week, working 10 hour days. You will be provided a company van and to be 21+ with a clean driving record.

This is not a sales role! No cold calling required. Customers schedule their own appointments through a support team and scheduled appointments are provided to you.

You will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. You would be educating power utility customers on Energy Waste Reduction.

Install basic energy-efficient equipment, and inspect customers homes for insulation, air sealing, HVAC equipment and make recommendations for saving energy and money!

The Technician will work directly with our Utility Client's diverse, multi-lingual customer base.

• Climb ladders up to 10’ and lift / carry 50 lbs.
• Conduct installation of basic residential energy efficiency upgrades – training provided.
• Provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement in accordance with client specifications – training provided.
• Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning, and effectiveness of products. Provide technical expertise to identify, analyze and resolve issues.
• Show experience or interest and ability to learn about home construction and HVAC equipment to be an effective educator on the topic.

Target Compensation

$23.00/hr

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company.Individuals provided a conditional offer of employmentfor this position must successfully pass apost-offer, pre-employmentdrug testand consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record.
