Job summary

CLEAResult, a leader in energy efficiency programs, seeks an Energy Technician III to install basic efficiency upgrades, inspect homes, and advise on savings. This remote-friendly role covers the greater Metro Detroit area with a four-day work week and a company van provided.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED (associates preferred), and basic computer/tech skills. BPI is a plus; driving record must be clean and ready for field work.

• 1-3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and various software.

Responsibilities

• Install basic energy-efficient equipment and inspect homes for insulation, air sealing, and HVAC systems.
• Provide technical advice on installation and energy-saving recommendations.
• Travel within a defined territory and support a remote, non-sales workflow.
• Maintain equipment and the company vehicle; ensure clean driving record.
• Support the client with education and demonstration of energy-efficiency measures.

You will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. You would be educating power utility customers on Energy Waste Reduction. Candidates must live in or within a reasonable commuting distance from their territory.****The employee will have a four-day work week, working 10 hour days.
