Job summary

Xcel Energy is offering a summer internship in the Integrated Plan Delivery team, spanning Minnesota and Colorado. The role focuses on economic transmission analysis and broader planning, with responsibilities to learn the planning process, collect data, perform studies, and prepare reports.

Eligible students should be pursuing engineering degrees (Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, Chemical, Engineering Economics, or Engineering Physics) and be able to work full-time in summer or part-time during

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher.
• Enrolled in ABET accredited college pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Able to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time during school year (up to 20 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Participate in intern development program
• Learn about Xcel Energy planning process
• Collect and prepare data for studies
• Perform studies, as appropriate
• Write study and assumptions reports, as appropriate

Education

ABET accredited college/university

Pursuing degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
