Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Energy Systems Integration Engineer based in the United States (Houston, TX or Santa Clara, CA) to design, deploy, and optimize large-scale Linux-based EMMS environments. You will automate configurations with Ansible and scripting, tune OS and databases for performance, and troubleshoot complex issues across the stack.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years Linux system administration and automation experience.
• Proficiency with Ansible, Python, and shell scripting.
• Experience with Oracle databases and enterprise software environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain large-scale Linux-based EMMS environments.
• Automate system configuration and deployment using Ansible and scripting tools.
• Optimize system performance and reliability through OS and database tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the software stack.
• Support system testing including Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of system processes and automation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
