Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Power Systems Quality Assurance Engineer to join a global team delivering EMS, GMS and SCADA solutions for critical utility operations.

You will develop test strategies, design functional and non-functional tests, manage test data, and drive quality improvements across the full software lifecycle. A BS in electrical engineering and 5+ years of QA or power systems experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA or power systems experience.
• Knowledge of EMS, GMS, SCADA systems and utility operations.
• Experience with Jira/Zephyr Scale or Azure DevOps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies based on requirements, designs and specifications.
• Design and execute functional and non-functional test cases to validate system performance.
• Create and manage test data for successful project delivery and testing.
• Mentor team members on testing practices and quality processes.
