Job summary

The Senior Manager, Energy Systems Engineering at Walmart will develop and own deployment standards for complex infrastructure across the portfolio, translating requirements into repeatable specifications and operational turnover criteria. This is a hands‑on role with ~50% travel to active deployments to validate installations and drive safe, scalable execution.

You will partner across Engineering, Construction, Operations, Procurement, and vendors to continuously improve standards based on

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy management, or related area with 6 years’ experience in energy or power systems engineering.
Ability to translate engineering requirements into clear field guidance and standards.
Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

Develop and own technical specifications, installation standards, inspection criteria, and turnover requirements.
Translate electrical and mechanical requirements into practical field guidance and checklists.
Conduct frequent site visits to validate safety, quality, and compliance with standards.
Identify field issues and coordinate resolution with partners and vendors.
Incorporate lessons learned into standards and deployment processes.
Establish quality metrics and vendor accountability for scalable deployments.
