Job summary

Walmart in Bentonville, AR seeks a Senior Manager, Energy Systems Engineering to develop and own technical deployment standards for complex infrastructure across Walmart's portfolio. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy management, or related area with 6 years’ energy or power systems experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, equipment requirements, scopes of work, and technical standards.
• Experience developing or enforcing installation, quality, inspection, commissioning, or operational-readiness requirements.
• Experience coordinating contractors, equipment vendors, engineering partners, and technical teams.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% to deployment sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own technical specifications, installation standards, inspection criteria, commissioning requirements, and turnover documentation.
• Translate engineering requirements into repeatable field guidance, checklists, and scopes of work.
• Conduct frequent site visits during construction, installation, commissioning, and turnover to validate safety and quality.
• Identify field issues and coordinate resolution with engineering, construction, contractors, and vendors.
• Incorporate lessons learned and technology changes into standards and deployment processes.
• Establish quality metrics and vendor accountability to improve consistency and scalability.
