Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Strategy & Consulting professional in the Houston area to drive strategic transformation for energy clients. You will lead hypothesis-driven analyses and design end-to-end playbooks across upstream, downstream, LNG, and fuels retail with a focus on value creation and operational efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of energy strategy consulting experience, possess a strong grasp of market dynamics, and can build trusted relationships with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy sector-focused strategy consulting and process optimization.
• Experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives in upstream, downstream, LNG, or fuels retail.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Engineering, or Energy Management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hypothesis-led problem solving with clear prioritization amid ambiguity.
• Define where-to-play/how-to-win and assess margins and integration options.
• Analyze competitors and markets to derive actionable insights.
• Design operating models including governance, decision rights, spans, and processes.
• Build sequenced transformation roadmaps with value backlogs and risk controls.
• Develop value trees, KPIs, baselines, and track measurable benefits.
• Apply AI, automation, and analytics to accelerate decisions and efficiency.
• Craft compelling narratives to secure executive alignment and decisions.
• Lead cross-functional teams across strategy, digital, sustainability, and technology.
