Job summary

Amazon AWS Energy Team is seeking an Energy Projects Manager to lead large-scale electrical infrastructure projects across regions in AMER East. You will coordinate utilities, EPCs, and Owners Engineers, manage budgets, and collaborate with regulatory bodies to meet AWS expansion needs.

The role requires strong energy sector expertise, experience with substations and high voltage networks, and the ability to deliver on complex schedules while driving cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time.
• Experience solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries.
• Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies.
• Experience delivering accurate and timely financial models/analysis with measurable impact.
• Experience planning, engineering, developing or constructing substations or energy infrastructure (34.5kV+).
• Experience working with public utility commissions and energy regulators.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Utilities, EPC and Owner's Engineers to deliver a portfolio of inflight medium/high voltage power infrastructure projects.
• Manage capital budgets for electrical infrastructure and energy projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams and regulated utilities on energy project implementation and management.
• Identify and develop innovative cost savings projects related to energy infrastructure and supply.
• Work with utility regulators to develop policies supporting AWS strategies.
