Job summary

QUIKRETE seeks a Director of Energy to lead enterprise energy strategy across North America, overseeing procurement, risk management, market intelligence, sustainability, and operations support for fuels and power. Drive cost optimization, reliability, compliance, and long-term value while partnering with executive leadership.

The role requires 10–15 years in industrial energy procurement/management and a proven track record leading teams, with strong communication and strategic analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Energy Management, or related field.
• 10-15 years of industrial energy procurement/management experience with 5+ years leading teams.
• Expertise in energy markets, strategic sourcing, commodity risk, contract negotiation, and financial planning.
• Strong executive communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Preferred: MBA/CEM and heavy manufacturing or construction materials experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise energy strategy, procurement, and risk management.
• Lead and develop Energy Management team and standardize best practices.
• Oversee sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier relationships, and commodity strategies.
• Provide market intelligence, budgeting, forecasting, cost reduction, and executive reporting.
• Support capital projects, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and infrastructure initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Legal, EH&S, and Supply Chain.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, governance, sustainability, and audit readiness.
