Job summary

Quikrete Holdings Inc. seeks a Category Manager - Electricity to lead enterprise-wide electricity sourcing for U.S. facilities, optimizing cost and risk while supporting long-term growth.

Develop and execute sourcing strategies, lead RFPs and negotiations, and monitor markets and regulations to identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field as required.
• 5–8+ years in electricity procurement, energy sourcing, utility management, or category management.
• Experience negotiating commercial contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong knowledge of electricity markets, tariffs, transmission, capacity markets, and procurement.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; up to 20% domestic travel.
• Preferred: Manufacturing/heavy industry experience; deregulated markets; renewable energy; hedging; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute electricity sourcing strategies across all facilities.
• Lead RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and utility/provider relationships.
• Monitor electricity markets, tariffs, regulations, and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through demand response, load management, and renewable energy initiatives.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, Logistics, and Plant Leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Support energy infrastructure, metering, storage, onsite generation, and capital projects.
• Ensure regulatory and contract compliance; deliver reporting on costs, supplier performance, and market trends.

About The Role
