Job summary

Airgas Houston, TX is hiring an Energy Manager to lead energy strategy and cost management for AMG facilities. The role focuses on energy monitoring, decarbonization efforts, and optimizing energy costs through data-driven analysis and market insights.

The candidate will work with the Director of Energy Management and report to leadership, with a hybrid schedule and comprehensive benefits as part of Airgas’ corporate programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years experience and expertise in energy market and in LI business model.
• Understanding of Electricity Markets in North America including regulated and deregulated markets.
• Analytical and conceptual ability to assimilate requirements and create value for Airgas.
• Ability to influence management and external parties through effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide energy management direction and support for AMG business at strategic and tactical levels.
• Develop and execute the AMG Power/Energy strategy and support the Director Energy Management.
• Monitor and analyze energy usage, data collection, and forward price risk.
• Establish energy use efficiency targets and track performance against costs and rate design.
• Negotiate competitive energy procurement terms and manage supplier relationships.
