Job summary

Lost Pines location is seeking a meticulous Mechanical Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems, including energy services operations. You’ll contribute by performing precision repairs, welding, and full equipment remanufacturing under guidance from a supportive leadership team.

You'll work with cross-functional teams to inspect, install, and align critical machinery such as compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, and fans, while interpreting blueprints and ensuring

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience maintaining or repairing mechanical equipment.
• Degree in mechanical/industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or controls (degree may substitute for experience per guidelines).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and align critical mechanical equipment (air compressors, heat exchangers, gear reducers, valves, pumps, fans).
• Weld, fabricate, and fit piping and structural components, including fiberglass piping repairs.
• Carry out excavation following OSHA guidelines.
• Interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics for precise repairs and updated drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical and controls teams on cross-functional tasks.
• Service bearings on turbine-generators, boiler air fans, and high-capacity pumps.

How You'll Contribute

• Execute installation, inspection, maintenance, and precision alignment of critical mechanical equipment, including air compressors, heat exchangers, gear reducers, valves, pumps and fans.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and fitting on piping and structural components, including specialist repairs to fiberglass piping systems.
• Conduct excavation activities in alignment with OSHA safety guidelines.
• Interpret blueprints , technical manuals, and schematics to execute precise repairs and maintain accurate, up-to-date system drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical and controls teams on cross-functionally tasks and troubleshooting.
• Service friction and anti-friction bearings on heavy industrial equipment, such as turbine-generators, large boiler air fans, and high-capacity pumps.

How You're Qualified

• Two or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment or other relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in mechanical or industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
• Driver's license
