Your objective is to equip field teams with the tools, skills, and confidence required for success.

We seek a dynamic and motivated technical trainer to join our team in Transmission Services. This role will design, deliver, and document training on technical topics, such as high voltage electrical maintenance and equipment operations. Your objective is to equip field teams with the tools, skills, and confidence required for success.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Build, deliver, and manage tailored technical training sessions on topics like industrial mechanical, electrical, equipment operation, keeping safety and environmental standards top of mind. These sessions serve audiences of different sizes and skill levels using classroom lessons and hands‑on laboratory or practical exercises.
  • Evaluate and revise training presentations as necessary to meet specific needs and ensure they remain relevant and engaging.
  • Demonstrate equipment operation, equipment installation and maintenance. Provide vendor support to include equipment staging, ensure vendors align to all safety and environmental standards, and review vendor evaluations for improvements.
  • Follow Environmental and Safety Management System requirements and industry/regulatory standards to maintain a flawless training program.
How You’re Qualified
  • Nine or more years of experience in utility industry mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, safety training, environmental training or compliance including providing guidance, leadership or formal/informal instruction to staff, or other relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls, electrical systems, health and safety, education or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license
  • Class A Texas commercial driver's license or equivalent from another state required for incumbents with heavy equipment operation and transportation responsibilities.
How You’ll Stand Out
  • Proven knowledge of the electric utility industry.
  • Outstanding knowledge of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage equipment and systems.
  • Expertise in process control systems, electrical circuit theory, power plant, and transmission systems operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment operations.
  • Familiarity with NERC, ERCOT, OSHA, ANSI, EPA, and TCEQ rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of instructional development and adult learning principles.
