Job summary

Western Midstream is seeking a Commercial Operations Intern to support the Midstream Scheduling team in The Woodlands, Texas. This internship provides hands-on exposure to how natural gas, NGLs, and crude oil are scheduled and balanced across Western Midstream-operated assets.

The intern will work with experienced team members, learn industry systems and terminology, and assist with data review, reporting, and operational coordination. Hybrid schedule with in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated in accredited college; Engineering, Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain major preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn the daily scheduling process for natural gas, NGLs, and crude oil on Western Midstream-operated systems.
• Assist the team with reviewing nominations, production volumes, pipeline activity, and imbalances.
• Support daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal teams, accounting, management, and customers.
• Help maintain accurate operational records and update scheduling systems under team guidance.
• Review actual versus forecasted volumes and help identify differences or trends.
• Work with Commercial Operations, Field Operations, Accounting, Commercial Development, Marketing, producers, and pipeline contacts to understand information flow.
