Job summary

Energy Transfer in Oklahoma City is seeking a Summer Intern for 2027 in our Commercial Department. The internship is for students enrolled in college during the program and involves supporting pricing, nominations, and data analysis across gas and energy products.

You will work with Gas Control and Field representatives, update maps, assist with contracts, and develop Excel-based models while learning the fundamentals of Gathering & Processing and pipeline operations.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in college majoring in Energy Commerce or a Business related program.
  • Strong computer and advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Must possess a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Organized and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player and able to work with a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain historical pricing and forward curves spreadsheets for customers and internally.
  • Learn basics of Gathering & Processing rich gas volumes.
  • Work with Gas Control and Field reps to ensure accurate flows.
  • Update maps and category systems for major pipelines.
  • Assist scheduling with daily nominations and confirmations.
  • Monitor Maintenance Calendar and communicate upcoming impacts.
  • Assist with updating contacts and establish relationships with third parties.
  • Provide analytical data from multiple system applications.

Energy Transfer is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States. In total, the Company owns and operates approximately 120,000 miles of natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and natural gas liquids pipelines, terminals, and acquisition and marketing assets which are used to facilitate the purchase and sale of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refined products.

Our Commercial Department is seeking a dynamic, personable, and professional Intern for the summer of 2027 at three different locations: Oklahoma City.

Summer Internship program starting in May 2027. You must be enrolled in college during the program
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ideal candidate expectations, roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain historical pricing and forward curves spreadsheets for customers and internally
  • Learn the basic principals involved in Gathering & Processing rich gas volumes.
  • Work closely with Gas Control and Field representatives to ensure accurate flows.
  • Update maps and category systems for all major pipelines
  • Assist scheduling with daily nominations and confirmations
  • Monitor Maintenance Calendar and communicate upcoming impact both internally and externally.
  • Assist with updating contacts and help establish relationships with third parties
  • True up data across several workbooks
  • Help scheduling by coordinating new contracts or meter point additions with contracts team
  • Provide analytical data from a multitude of system application
