Leading international law firm in the United States is seeking an Energy Regulatory Associate or Counsel to join its growing U.S. energy platform in Washington, DC.

You will advise clients on energy regulatory matters across the electric sector, with exposure to project finance and data centre work. The role offers cross-functional collaboration on high-value matters and regulatory support for energy transactions.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on FERC regulatory matters.
• Strong exposure to the electric power sector.
• Transactional regulatory experience or experience supporting regulated asset deals.
• Excellent technical drafting and analytical skills.
• Commercial mindset and ability to work across a fast-paced platform.
• Interest in data centres, power supply and energy transition themes.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of energy regulatory matters, focusing on the electric sector.
• Support energy and infrastructure transactions with regulatory input.
• Work on power supply, data centre-related matters and project development.
• Coordinate with project finance and broader energy teams on deal-driven regulatory issues.
