The role

You will advise clients on a broad range of energy regulatory matters, with a particular focus on the electric sector. The practice is closely aligned with sophisticated project finance and power work, so the role offers exposure to complex, high-value matters across the energy and infrastructure landscape.

Key areas of focus
  • FERC regulatory matters, particularly in the electric space
  • Regulatory support for energy and infrastructure transactions
  • Power supply and data centre-related matters
  • Project development and commercial energy work
  • Coordination with project finance and broader energy teams on deal-driven regulatory issues
Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience advising on FERC regulatory matters
  • Strong exposure to the electric power sector
  • Transactional regulatory experience, or experience supporting deals involving regulated assets
  • Excellent technical drafting and analytical skills
  • A commercial mindset and ability to work across a collaborative, fast-paced platform
  • Interest in working on matters tied to data centres, power supply, and broader energy transition themes

The team is open to candidates at the associate or counsel level, with strongest interest around the junior-to-mid-level range, although outstanding senior candidates with the right subject matter alignment will also be considered.

Why this opportunity stands out
  • Join a premier platform with a strong flow of energy, infrastructure, and project finance work
  • Work closely with an established team on high-profile matters in a growing sector
  • Gain exposure to cutting-edge issues in the data centre and power markets space
  • Attractive opportunity for lawyers who value platform strength, quality of work, and long-term development
