Job summary

Morrison Foerster seeks a skilled attorney with 3–6+ years of significant energy regulatory law experience to support energy projects and infrastructure transactions. You will advise developers, hyperscalers, and large energy users, handling regulatory matters before FERC and state bodies with a client‑focused approach.

You will be proactive, entrepreneurial, and capable of managing complex client relationships, delivering clear written and oral communication, and assuming greater responsibility

Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years of significant law firm experience in energy regulatory law or related energy matters.
  • Experience advising data center developers, hyperscalers, or large energy users.
  • Experience in digital infrastructure, co-located generation, or large-scale energy procurement.
  • Regulatory proceedings before FERC, state commissions, or appellate courts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑level legal advice on energy regulation, power markets, and infrastructure transactions.
  • Advise and manage relationships with clients and external counsel to deliver client service.
  • Concisely communicate complex matters in oral and written form with strong business judgment.
  • Take on increasing levels of responsibility for transactions in a proactive, entrepreneurial manner.
