Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking an Energy Rating Specialist to support the Building Performance Consulting team in Massachusetts, performing energy modeling and field inspections from planning through construction to assist with HERS ratings, energy code compliance, Energy Star, and related programs.

You will review blueprints, run EKOTROPE models, collect site data, and communicate with contractors to advance energy savings and green verification while meeting project goals and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Building Science or related field; field experience may substitute for degree
• Experience in Residential Construction preferred

Responsibilities

• Review construction blueprints and plans
• Create energy models using EKOTROPE software
• Collect site data and perform diagnostic testing, including blower door and duct blaster
• Collect and produce documentation related to project progress and outcomes
• Prepare and submit documents to verify code compliance, certification and rebates
• Communicate technical concepts to contractors on energy efficiency and green specifications
• Support projects from initial energy modeling to final construction and assist teams in meeting goals

Job Description

Job Description Candidate will be field based within Massachusetts. We are looking for a talented individual to join our Building Performance Consulting team based in Massachusetts as an Energy Rating Specialist. You will work with design and construction teams from initial project planning through final construction, performing energy modeling and field inspections through various stages of the construction process to support the delivery of CLEAResult’s portfolio of New Construction consulting services including: HERS Ratings Energy Code Compliance Energy Star Homes DOE Efficient New Homes Passive House.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Building Science - Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field); field experience may substitute for degree for right candidate
• Experience in Residential Construction preferred

Target Compensation

$66,000

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.

Compensation Range

Compensation Range $63,500.00 - $87,900.00 Currency USD Type Salary

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example. CLEAResult will not provide sponsorship or support for immigration status or work authorization including for international students. Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support. Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.
