Job summary

Association for Energy Affordability is seeking a Project Associate in the West region to join our energy efficiency team. The role focuses on energy audits, building simulations, and managing retrofit projects for multifamily buildings.

You will work with owners and design professionals to integrate decarbonization, electrification, and renewable upgrades, with field work and some travel required across the Central Coast region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, building science, or energy conservation preferred.
• Two years of related experience in energy conservation or energy audits.
• Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and analytical skills.
• The Associate title includes two levels: Associate I and II depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy audits and field assessments of multifamily buildings.
• Perform energy modeling and building simulations.
• Prepare energy and green building assessment reports with cost and emissions analysis.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, and contractors to implement energy upgrades.
• Travel within California for fieldwork and project support.
