Association for Energy Affordability (AEA) West is seeking a Senior Project Associate to join our team of energy geeks. You will manage retrofit projects, perform energy audits and modeling, and assist multifamily owners through complex energy retrofit efforts.

The role requires travel within California and collaboration with diverse stakeholders across the Bay Area. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in the field, strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for decarbonization and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, building science, or energy conservation preferred or an Associate Degree with related energy experience
• Four (4) years related experience in a related role
• Excellent communication, organization, presentation, analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Managing energy efficiency retrofit projects
• Conducting energy audits and in-field assessments
• Performing energy modeling and building simulations
• Preparing energy and green building assessment reports with cost and emissions analyses
• Job costing, construction feasibility, and contractor bid walks
• Lead training and onboarding of junior staff when needed
• Support business development and policy initiatives
