Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Energy to lead electrical construction projects in Reno, NV. The role involves day-to-day management of project teams, planning, execution, and financial performance to meet safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has PM experience in energy projects, knowledge of scheduling, cost accounting, procurement, and strong leadership abilities. On-site work with per diem on travel, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education and experience to qualify for the role, including relevant licenses/certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Business/Engineering preferred.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and project teams from qualification through closeout within budgets and timeframes.
• Establish project execution plans and coordinate scheduling with the Superintendent and field team.
• Identify project risks and develop recovery action plans.
• Manage project financials: invoices, budget variance, job cost, and productivity.
• Negotiate change orders with customers and subcontractors.
• Serve as primary point of contact with customers and end-users; develop relationships and source opportunities.
• Mentor and develop a high-performance project team.
