Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer – Energy to support field, project management, and customer teams on-site in Chicagoland, IL.

The role involves coordinating material deliveries, RFIs, submittals, and change orders while serving as a main contact for internal customers. The position offers a path toward project management with exposure to diverse energy projects and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: None required.
• Experience: 0 years required; 2 years preferred.
• Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Act as key point of contact with internal customers for specific scopes of work.
• Participates with Project Management on estimating activities including bids and change orders.
• Contributes to effective job start meetings and team meetings.
• Supports the team by coordinating material onsite delivery dates with the project schedule.
• Partners with safety professionals to identify hazards and document.
• Maintains complete and accurate RFI, submittal and change order logs; organized filing system.
