Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for energy projects in Fort Wayne, IN. The role focuses on coordinating between field and project teams, managing documentation, and supporting the Project Manager and Project Engineers.

You will drive meetings, track RFIs and submittals, and ensure timely change orders while maintaining strong vendor relationships and accurate material releases to align with the construction schedule.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience as a Project Engineer in electrical construction or related field.
• Five (5)+ years of related experience, including some time managing smaller projects.
• Experience supervising or guiding others on semi-remote jobsites; renewables/data center builds desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead team meetings and provide guidance to Project Engineers and Coordinators in partnership with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with scheduling to gather data for CEI schedule.
• Identify cost impacts with RFIs, submittals, and design changes and notify promptly.
• Price change orders consistently for PM review and approval.
• Manage closeout documents and project closeout activities.
• Coordinate commissioning with 3rd party and track open items.
• Maintain strong partnerships with vendors and subcontractors; coordinate material releases with the construction schedule.
