Job summary

HEPCO, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Project Specialist to support energy-efficiency programs in New Jersey. This role assists Energy Consultants, installation partners, contractors, and customers through the project lifecycle.

You will create and process projects and applications, review documents for accuracy, manage rebates, and track milestones using Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Collaboration across teams is essential to maintain timelines and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow established procedures.
• Strong data-entry, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to quickly evaluate information and take appropriate action.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of invoices, equipment specs, and operations.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to create, manage, and upload documents and Excel workbooks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM.
• Professional demeanor and process improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Create and process energy-efficiency projects and applications.
• Review documents for accuracy and compliance with program requirements.
• Process project rebates accurately and on schedule.
• Manage multiple programs, dashboards, and work queues.
• Follow up on responses and documentation from contractors and customers.
• Verify all project requirements are satisfied before advancing applications.
• Use Microsoft Dynamics CRM to track applications through milestones.
• Collaborate across teams for timely responses to customers and partners.
• Escalate issues to appropriate parties for resolution.
• Monitor application volumes and communicate trends affecting processing times.
• Recommend improvements to program processes and service delivery.
• Maintain a high level of customer and contractor satisfaction.
• Cross-train team members on requirements and procedures.
• Participate in occasional marketing events in New Brunswick, NJ.
